"Why is water so important for fat loss?"
We hear it all the time, water is important for proper bodily functions, energy levels, and helping you to achieve the body you want by improving fat loss. Yet, many people still fail to consistently drink adequate amounts of water. The truth is that water plays a very important role in the weight loss process ... and I think once you understand what that role is, you'll agree too.
While trying to lose weight, your body needs at a minimum anywhere from 100-120oz of water each day. Not only is the water needed to help keep your system hydrated, especially this time of year in the summer heat, it will also assist with fat loss.
You see, your body uses water to flush excess body fat from your system. So as you are increasing your metabolism to burn stored body fat the water serves as a method to let that excess body fat exit your system.
Studies have shown that drinking 16-20 oz. of water in a sitting will boost your body's thermogenic response and your natural metabolism by as much as 30%. That’s great for your results!
Studies have also shown that just slight dehydration can hugely impact exercise performance. Sometimes being hydrated is the difference between getting those last two reps, putting an extra five pounds on the bar, or running that mile 30 seconds faster.
It may not seem like much of a difference, but that better workout you just had as a result of being fully hydrated burned more calories and built you some muscle. In return, that muscle is now burning more fat for you, even while you rest.
I realize that increasing your water intake to at least 100 - 120 oz.
a day, may make for a lifestyle change ... but keep in mind we'll be spacing that out over the course of the day. To make it easy on myself, I just keep a water bottle with me throughout the day and fill it up as needed.
If you'd like help with the best way to work that water into your daily routine ... or have any other questions about the best way to get the results you are after, just reply to this email. I'm here to help!
